Getting started

Well I have just created my new blog for the coming year.   I have been tossing this idea around for some time now and it's about time I actually did it! well the blog is about card making and other fun things and  not growing fruit. In fact the title comes from the place I now live, a beautiful old former catholic church, st Clements located in a small village in Tasmania. Here the time passes slowly and crafty endeavours are all the rage. I make cards because I have had a love affair with paper and cutting out, ever since I received a cutting out book as a small child. I gaily hacked away with a blunt pair of plastic scissors, chopping of heads of the paper dollies and butchering the small tabs designed to keep the clothes on the doll. Now my cutting skills have improved somewhat and the love affair continues. My card making has been on hold for many years as I pursued my other favourite hobby, photography. Now I am ready to once again sit down at the kitchen table and cut and paste to my hearts content. I have to thank my friend Margaret Irvine for reminding me what a lovely thing this is and I look forward to spending more days making cards with this special friend.
